July 14th, 2013; DETROIT, MICHIGAN: For the 6th year in a row, former Detroit Lions NFL all-pro lineman Lomas Brown will be hosting a free football camp for local high school student-athletes on Friday, August 2 at Martin Luther King High School. The camp will run from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and is free for all local high school athletes.
“I’m very excited to host a free Big Man camp for the Detroit Public School athletes,” Brown said. “Growing up, it meant a lot to see athletes come back and give to their communities, and I’m glad that I’m in a position to give back to the Detroit athletes.”
The camp is for lineman in 9th through 12th grade and open to any local football players. All campers must bring helmets and cleats and they will receive a free t-shirt, lunch and awards given by Lomas Brown for the camp MVPs and competition winners.
Registration for the Big Man camp will begin at 9 a.m. and the camp will run from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The deadline to register for the camp is Monday, July 22. Space for the camp is limited to the first 100 athletes who register.
