Detroit Lions Captain and starting linebacker, Stephen Tulloch was voted the 2012 Media Good Guy Award by the Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association and Pro Football Writers Association. This award is given yearly to one player from the Detroit Lions roster.
Throughout his time in Detroit, Stephen has also been very active in the community. Tulloch launched Operation 55 was launched in 2011 upon signing with the Detroit Lions. The purpose of the program is to help as many people as possible and give children throughout the Metro Detroit area opportunities to come to Detroit Lions home games to experience a game day with Tulloch! Over the past two seasons, Stephen has taken over 1000 kids from various organizations throughout Detroit, including The Jalen Rose Leadership Academy, Angels of Hope, Big Family and more to home Detroit Lions Games. Tulloch also partnered with the Covenant House of Michigan providing 55 kids with free dental services, adopted families in Detroit for the holidays providing them with food, clothing and toys.
Stephen Tulloch will partner with teammate Nate Burleson June 8 to host their 4th Annual Celebrity Softball Game to help raise funds for both players’ foundations that will continue to give back to the Metro Detroit area throughout the 2013-14 season.
